Our church helped to light up downtown Putnam at this year’s Dazzle Light Parade, spreading Christmas cheer with our float themed around the movie Elf — matching our Advent sermon series! Even though the night was cold, our team bundled up and had an amazing time bringing the joy and sparkle of the season to life.
Our float featured a festive gingerbread house, plenty of twinkling lights, and a few Buddy the Elf Squishmallows bouncing along for the ride as we made our way down the long parade route. We loved waving to the crowd, sharing laughter, and celebrating the wonder and warmth of the season together. πβ¨βοΈ
π Spooktacular Parade Fun in Danielson! π»
On October 25, 2025, our church joined the Danielson Spooktacular Parade with a float inspired by It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Our crew brought a touch of nostalgia and faith-filled fun to Main Street — complete with the “Great Pumpkin” itself, costumed characters, and our crowd-favorite skeleton bike riding alongside the float!
We had a great time handing out candy and joining in the Trick-or-Treat on Main Street, connecting with neighbors and sharing smiles all evening long. Huge thanks to everyone who waved, walked, and helped spread a little joy (and sweetness!) through our community. ππ§‘
The United Methodist Church of Danielson was honored to once again take part in our community’s Pride Fest this May! As an open and affirming congregation, we believe in showing up with love, compassion, and solidarity. It was a joy to celebrate the sacred worth of every person and to witness the power of inclusion in action. We’re grateful to be part of a movement that reflects God’s boundless grace and unconditional love for all. πβ€οΈποΈ
